24/25 November 1940: The London Underground on this day 75 years ago

Seventy-ninth day of the London Blitz.

The new Baker Street Bakerloo line station opened at the commencement of traffic on the 24th.[1]

Bombs in the vicinity of South Wimbledon station at 19:50 broke glass in two adjacent empty shops.[2]

At 08:00 on the 25th, the following working conditions were reported:

District – St James Park to South Kensington reopened, but Sloane Square station still closed; expected to reopen 30/11.[3]
